CHRISTMAS AWAY FROM HOME

Christmas is one of the most anticipated occasions yearly for Christians. It's the only time most families gather or reunite after a long time of separation. But for the past year, it's the other way around for me. It was my first time to celebrate Christmas away from home, away from my loved ones. It wasn't easy, it's heart-breaking but thanks to my friends and workmates who are with me here, they made my Christmas worth celebrating. They've been my second family and I'm still grateful to have known them and be part of my 2017 journey. Working in the Middle East where Christmas is not being celebrated is quite hard, you can't celebrate it on time because you have work on Christmas day, lucky for you if it was your day off. Despite that, we still make it a point to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. "Simbang Gabi" is widely practiced in the Religious Complex of Qatar, unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend because of my work and the distan...
